Should Trump Be Arrested For Violating His Gag Order?

Biden’s Secret Plan To Weaken The Border

Biden is doing everything he can to further weaken the southern border and Americans should be furious!

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has vehemently opposed a recent proposal by President Biden that could alter the deployment of Air National Guard personnel from the southern border into roles within the Space Force without the explicit approval of their respective state governors.

Expressing his concerns directly to President Biden in a letter dated May 3, Abbott underscored his stance against what he labeled an “intolerable threat” to the National Guard. The proposal, if enacted, would grant the Secretary of the Air Force unilateral authority to transfer Air National Guard units to the Space Force without prior gubernatorial consent.

Biden is actively trying to lower the number of National Guardsmen at the southern border by diverting them to the Space Force.

Abbott, known for his clashes with the current administration on various fronts, denounced the proposal as a “power grab” during recent remarks. His primary contention lies in the potential sidelining of governors, who traditionally serve as the commanders in chief of the National Guard within their states and territories.

In his letter, Abbott emphasized the critical role of the National Guard in responding to a range of emergencies, including natural disasters, civil disturbances, and security threats. He argued that granting such broad authority to federal officials could disrupt the established balance of power and endanger the readiness and effectiveness of National Guard units.

This opposition isn’t isolated to Abbott alone. In April, he joined forces with numerous other governors in urging Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to scrap the legislative proposal. Their collective argument centered on the belief that the proposal, formally known as Legislative Proposal 480 (LP480), would undermine state authority, potentially compromising both the preparedness and operational efficiency of National Guard units nationwide.

The concerns raised by Governor Abbott and his counterparts reflect a broader debate over the appropriate balance of power between federal and state authorities in matters of national defense. As discussions continue, the fate of LP480 remains uncertain, with its potential implications for the National Guard continuing to spark contentious debate among policymakers and stakeholders alike.
