Biden Wants To Limit Trump's Presidential Powers, Is This Wrong?

Mark Cuban Makes Strange Kamala Confession

Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban recently revealed that during his time acting as a surrogate for Vice President Kamala Harris’ 2020 campaign, he regularly ignored instructions from her team. Cuban, known for his blunt style and business acumen, said he refused to follow the talking points given to him by Harris’ campaign staff, especially when it came to critical issues like immigration.

“I would go into immigration and I was honest,” Cuban explained on Jon Stewart’s The Weekly Show podcast. “They’d try to give me notes, and I’d tell them, ‘I don’t care.’” Cuban, no stranger to making bold statements, made it clear that he wasn’t about to be dictated to on his stance, even while supporting the Biden-Harris ticket.

One area where Cuban notably clashed with the campaign was on the controversial proposal for a 25% minimum tax on total income over $100 million, including unrealized gains—money that hasn’t been realized through the sale of assets. This provision was part of President Biden’s 2025 budget proposal, and Cuban didn’t hold back in criticizing it.

Cuban stated that the Harris campaign privately agreed with his concerns, even though they couldn’t publicly express them. “I went out there and said it was ridiculous, and when I spoke to the campaign afterward, they said, ‘You’re saying what we wish we could say,’” Cuban explained. “So, I took that as approval to keep going.” His criticism of the tax plan highlighted his belief that it would harm business owners and entrepreneurs, including those with substantial investments in growing companies.

Additionally, Cuban warned the Harris team about the potential consequences of the administration’s stance on cryptocurrency. He pointed out that SEC Chairman Gary Gensler’s aggressive regulatory approach, particularly against the crypto industry, could alienate younger voters. Cuban noted that the anti-crypto sentiment, which resonated with younger, tech-savvy men, might ultimately impact Harris’ chances in the 2024 election.

“I told Gary Gensler directly, and I said to Kamala’s team, ‘Gensler could cost you the election,’” Cuban recalled. His insight into the younger demographic’s growing interest in cryptocurrency and frustration with overregulation could prove to be a significant factor in the upcoming race.

While Cuban was a prominent figure in the 2020 campaign, his directness and willingness to challenge the campaign’s narrative set him apart from typical political surrogates. His criticisms offer a unique perspective on how the administration’s policies, particularly around taxation and crypto, might not resonate with key voting blocks, especially among the younger generation.
