Stay prepared this holiday season!

As sad as this may seem, a Thanksgiving dinner without any turkey could be a reality many families might have to face this year.

According to the Washington Examiner, a food bank is Arkansas recently made headlines after they announced that they have such a small supply of turkeys this year that they will have to resort to giving out other foods to families.

River Valley Regional Food Bank Director Tracy Engel shocked Americans when she confessed that on average their food bank has anywhere from 5,000 to 6,000 turkeys they can give out to many families in need. Now they only have 5 in their freezers.

Believe it or not the cost of turkey has spike 70% in certain Arkansas area compared to the previous year and people just can’t afford it anymore.

Engel noted that the issues caused by inflation and the supply chain crisis has caused this extreme lack of food for many families this holiday season.
