At the same time, another veteran Trump adviser, Johnny DeStefano, is expected to return to the White House as an unpaid special government employee. One of DeStefano’s primary responsibilities will reportedly be improving coordination between the White House and Senate Republicans. His long-standing relationship with Senate Majority Leader John Thune is viewed as a valuable asset as the administration works to advance its legislative priorities.

Longtime Trump aide Nick Luna is expected to become chief of staff for Vice President JD Vance beginning in August.

Luna previously served as President Trump’s personal aide during his first administration before working closely with Vance after he joined the Republican ticket.
