Stephen Miller, a key advisor chosen by President-elect Donald Trump to serve as his deputy chief of staff for policy, has made it clear that one of Trump’s top priorities upon taking office will be the enforcement of strict immigration policies, including mass deportations. Speaking on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures, Miller outlined Trump’s aggressive stance on immigration reform, stating that the incoming administration intends to carry out the largest deportation operation in U.S. history from day one.

Miller explained that Trump’s administration will take immediate action, issuing a series of executive orders aimed at sealing the border and initiating widespread deportations. He stressed that Republicans in Congress must support these efforts by passing a robust border security funding package. This package would not only boost funding for border patrol agents but also provide necessary resources for military operations and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations to carry out these measures effectively.

For decades, Republicans have discussed the need for stronger border security and immigration enforcement, but under Trump’s leadership, Miller believes these efforts will become a reality. “This will be the most significant domestic policy achievement in half a century,” he asserted, emphasizing the transformational nature of Trump’s approach to immigration.

As part of his immigration strategy, Trump has appointed Tom Homan as the “border czar” to oversee these sweeping reforms. Homan, who has previously advocated for strict measures like family separations at the border, will play a pivotal role in executing Trump’s vision. The president-elect has also signaled that he may call on the U.S. military to assist with deportations and border security.
