Lindsey Graham Does Biden’s Dirty Work
In a surprising turn of events, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham is now actively working against the Republican Party by pushing to give amnesty to illegal immigrants!
According to Newsmax, Lindsey Graham is now partnering up with Senate Judiciary Committee chair and Democrat Dick Durbin to bring forward the DREAM Act of 2023. This new act is aiming to give illegal immigrants who were brought into the United States as children and have received a certain level education/work requirements the right to be permanent residents.
Lindsey Graham said in the past that the only way he will support new legislation like this is if the appropriate measures are taken to secure the southern border however it appears that President Biden hasn’t secured it at all.
Graham defended working with Democrats and said, “While I continue to support relief for DREAMers, I hope my Democratic colleagues understand we must repair a broken border and address a tsunami of illegal immigration before that is remotely possible. The DREAMers represent a class of illegal immigrants that have much public support because they were minors brought here by their parents and America has become their home.”
Graham added, “To provide relief to this population, we must first convince Americans that the unending wave of illegal immigration will stop.”
Democrat Dick Durban unveiled a similar version of the DREAM Act back in 2001 however never made it through the Senate. With Republican Lindsey Graham now in his corner things may change.
Durbin defended his DREAM Act and said, “I first introduced the Dream Act more than 20 years ago, and I’ll continue fighting until it becomes the law of the land. This is a matter of simple American fairness and justice. I thank Senator Graham for his continued partnership in this important bipartisan effort.”
Senator Lindsey Graham continues to do things that question his loyalty to the Republican Party. Hopefully he follows through on his promise by forcing President Biden and the Democrats to secure the border before he passes the DREAM Act with Durbin.
