VIDEO: Liberal Crashes 2024 GOP Event

During a recent event, Governor Ron DeSantis, a Republican from Florida, engaged in a verbal altercation with a disruptive individual in the audience. The person, who remains unidentified, interrupted the governor’s speech by calling him a “f—— fascist.”

According to Fox, while Governor Ron DeSantis was addressing the topic of parental rights in relation to protecting children from sexualization in Florida schools, a woman from the audience in Lexington, South Carolina, expressed her disagreement by shouting “The right to health care, to their kid’s health care, you’re a f—— fascist.”

“We say gay!” the heckler screamed.

In response to the loud booing that erupted from the crowd, Governor DeSantis chose to address the situation and engage with the audience.

DeSantis responded, “Well, thank you. We’re not going to let you impose an agenda on our kids. We’re going to stand up for our kids. We’re going to make sure to do it right.”

Governor DeSantis’ response resonated with the crowd, leading to a standing ovation as the disruptive woman was escorted out of the venue.

DeSantis then said, Those people like that in Florida are the people we beat every single day on policy. We do not let them win. We win all these battles. We’re not letting them indoctrinate our kids, not on our watch.”

Governor DeSantis acknowledged that he often faces accusations of “banning” books whenever he takes steps to remove inappropriate content from school libraries.

Democrats have strongly criticized Governor DeSantis for his parental rights law, which was implemented last year. The law specifies that classroom instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity, provided by school personnel or third parties, is prohibited in kindergarten through grade 3. It further emphasizes the importance of age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate teaching methods that align with state standards.
