Michelle Obama Announces New Business Venture
Michelle Obama, former First Lady, is set going to start a new podcast with her brother, Craig Robinson, through their media company, Higher Ground. The podcast, titled IMO, will focus on thoughtful discussions surrounding everyday life, offering listeners a space to explore meaningful conversations about the challenges and triumphs of modern living.
According to Higher Ground, the IMO podcast will be a platform where Michelle Obama and her brother openly share their personal perspectives on a variety of topics. They aim to address important issues affecting individuals, families, and communities, including relationships, faith, and the complexities of navigating a rapidly changing world. Obama explained that in today’s climate, people are seeking answers and need a space to engage in honest dialogue. The podcast, she believes, will provide just that — a place for individuals to voice their opinions, ask sincere questions, and explore topics that matter to their lives.
Craig Robinson, who currently serves as the executive director of the National Association of Basketball Coaches, shared that he and his sister have always enjoyed deep, thoughtful conversations throughout their lives. He expressed hope that the podcast will invite listeners into these discussions, sparking new insights and perspectives on a range of issues. Robinson emphasized that while there may not always be a one-size-fits-all solution to life’s struggles, engaging in open conversations about these matters can offer valuable insights and a sense of connection.
The first two episodes of the IMO podcast are set to be released on Wednesday, with new episodes expected to drop weekly. In addition, Obama and Robinson will record a live episode at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, providing an opportunity for fans to join the conversation in real-time. Since leaving the White House, Obama has become a best-selling author, publishing Becoming and The Light We Carry, both of which focus on personal growth and overcoming adversity.
