Hillary Attempts To Replace Biden In 2024?

In a surprising turn of events, Hillary Clinton commented on the concerns raised about President Biden’s age, acknowledging that it is a valid matter that individuals are entitled to raise concerns about it.

According to Fox, during the Financial Times Weekend Festival in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, Hillary Clinton made discreet remarks when asked about President Biden’s stumble at the G7 Summit in Japan.

Financial Times editor Edward Luce highlighted a worrisome incident during the interview, mentioning a recent occasion when President Biden almost stumbled while descending the stairs. Luce noted that Biden did not use a railing and was not accompanied by Jill Biden at that moment.

Luce expressed concern over the potential consequences of such incidents, noting that each time they occur, it leaves one on edge. He asked Hillary Clinton whether this is a matter of concern for her.

Hillary replied, “It’s a concern for anyone. We’ve had presidents who had fallen before who were a lot younger, and people didn’t go into heart palpitations.”

She then added, “But his age is an issue, and people have every right to consider it. But, you know, he has this great saying – and I think he’s right – don’t judge him for running against the Almighty but against the alternative. I am of the camp that I think he’s determined to run; he has a good record that, three years ago, people would not have predicted would have gotten done.”

Clinton further commented on President Biden’s accomplishments and the recognition they have yet to receive. She emphasized the positive developments in the country, such as job creation, economic growth, and future planning regarding CHIPS (presumably referring to the semiconductor industry). Clinton expressed her hope for Biden to maintain his focus and ability to compete in future elections, as she believes he has the potential to be re-elected. Encouraging others to share this aspiration, she emphasized the importance of looking forward to a successful campaign.

Clinton’s remarks deviate from the stance taken by other Democrats, who have generally downplayed concerns regarding President Biden’s age. It is noteworthy that Biden is the oldest president in American history and will turn 81 on Election Day.

Biden’s top aides have consistently downplayed concerns surrounding his mental and physical fitness. One example is when White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre dismissed a question from former CNN host Don Lemon about Biden’s health, stating that it was not a question that should be entertained.

There is speculation among some individuals that Hillary Clinton’s comments regarding President Biden’s age may be perceived as a calculated move to position herself as a potential replacement in the 2024 elections. Given Clinton’s previous presidential aspirations and political ambitions, this perspective suggests that her remarks could be interpreted as strategic maneuvering rather than genuine concern.
