Trump Ally Launches Governor Run

Vivek Ramaswamy, a prominent entrepreneur and former 2024 Republican presidential candidate, is set to launch his campaign for governor of Ohio on February 24. A native of Cincinnati, Ramaswamy made his mark by founding successful biotech and financial companies and is now eyeing the state’s top office. With Governor Mike DeWine reaching his term limit, Ramaswamy aims to secure the GOP nomination in the race to replace him.

Ramaswamy will face off against Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost in the Republican primary, a competitive contest that will have a significant impact on Ohio’s political future. Ramaswamy has already garnered support from influential figures in the state, including Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague and several former advisors to Vice President J.D. Vance. His growing network of endorsements signals a strong push for the Republican ticket.

The campaign launch will take place at CTL Aerospace Inc. in Cincinnati, a fitting venue for a man who’s known for his entrepreneurial spirit. Following that, Ramaswamy will host additional events across Ohio, including in Toledo at the Glass City Center and in Strongsville at The Local Bar, where he will continue to rally support and discuss his vision for Ohio’s future.

Previously, Ramaswamy was set to work alongside tech mogul Elon Musk to co-lead the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). However, he withdrew from that position just before its official launch. In a social media post, he expressed his pride in helping create the department and hinted at more to come regarding his future plans. Ramaswamy made it clear that his ultimate goal remains to support President Trump’s mission to restore America’s greatness, stating, “We’re all-in to help President Trump [make] America great again!”

Ramaswamy’s candidacy is poised to offer Ohio Republicans a fresh, business-minded alternative in a pivotal race that will shape the state’s direction for years to come.
