Democrats Order Suspicious Recount

Colorado’s Democrat Secretary of State Jena Griswold has just ordered for the mandatory recount of the state’s third district after Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert won the midterm election by a thin margin against Democrat Adam Frisch.

According to The Hill, Democrats ordered a recount because the vote differential between Boebert and Frisch was just 0.5 percent.

Boebert won against Frisch with 50.08 percent compared to his 49.92 percent where he then conceded the race.

Boebert won by just 550 more votes than Frisch and the final tally came down to 163,842 to 163,292.

Griswold explained in a statement, “The results of the District 3 race reinforce the fact that every vote matters.”

She then added, “Colorado voters have made their voices heard, and I am ordering this recount in accordance with Colorado law to confirm the will of the voters.”

Boebert responded to the news of the recount and said, “Come January, you can be certain of two things: I will be sworn in for my second term as your congresswoman and Republicans can finally turn Pelosi’s House back into the people’s House.”

Frisch responded to the news of the recount and said,
“While I am fully supportive of the recount process, based on the history of Colorado recounts, I could not, in good faith, perpetuate false hope that there is a good chance of the recount changing the outcome of this election.”
