Earlier this year, the Trump Organization announced plans to build a Trump Tower in Jeddah, marking its first development in Saudi Arabia in collaboration with a local developer. In light of recent geopolitical tensions, Trump criticized the Biden administration’s handling of Middle Eastern affairs, particularly a controversial fist-bump exchanged between Biden and the crown prince during a visit last year. He suggested that U.S.-Saudi relations can only thrive under a Trump administration, asserting that no similar rapport could be achieved under current leadership or if Vice President Kamala Harris were to take office.
