Should Congress Stop Trump Tariffs?

Things Get Worse For Biden

The recent surge in migrant-related crime across the U.S., including the arrests of members of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang in New York City, is a stark reminder of how the Biden administration’s weak border policies have transformed every American city into a potential border town, Rep. Anthony D’Esposito (R-NY) stated this week. On Newsmax, D’Esposito emphasized that the government’s failure to secure the border has allowed dangerous criminal organizations to infiltrate communities nationwide.

“This gang, which boasts over 5,000 members, is actively recruiting in migrant shelters, spreading their criminal operations far beyond the border states,” D’Esposito said. “We’ve seen gang members involved in heinous crimes—like a murder suspect wanted in Texas in early November and sex trafficking arrests in Tennessee. It’s clear: the Biden administration’s border policies are fueling this crisis.”

D’Esposito praised law enforcement for their efforts to combat these crimes. In a major bust in New York City’s Bronx this week, 15 alleged members of the Tren de Aragua gang were arrested, with some suspects tied to violent incidents like a Colorado home invasion earlier this year. The arrest highlights the growing threat posed by migrant crime syndicates infiltrating the country.

Rep. D’Esposito pointed out that Democrats had a chance to secure the border over a year ago but chose not to act. “They talk a good game about securing the border, but their inaction proves they have no intention of doing so. We need real action, not empty promises,” he argued.

As Republicans continue to push for stronger border security, D’Esposito expressed confidence in President Trump’s ability to take swift, decisive action on immigration. “President Trump made border security a priority, and when he returns to office, securing the border will be his number one focus. I’m proud to be part of the team that passed the Secure the Border Act—a plan to stop the flow of illegal immigration and deport criminals back to where they came from.”

The congressman also highlighted the growing frustration among American citizens—especially legal immigrants—who are outraged at the cost of housing and supporting illegal migrants. In New York, taxpayers are footing the bill for over $2 billion in migrant-related expenses, from shelters to cellphones. “This is money that should be going to American citizens, not used to support those who are in the country illegally.”

As we head into the new year, D’Esposito is looking forward to a future under President Trump’s leadership, one that prioritizes the safety and security of Americans. “We will make America first again, and that starts with securing the border and putting a stop to these criminal gangs,” he said.

With growing violence and unrest tied to open-border policies, it’s clear that the need for stronger, more effective border enforcement has never been more urgent.
