Ocasio-Cortez Refuses To Leave
Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has just filed for re-election, only two months after winning the last election.
According to Fox, Ocasio-Cortez is expected to run for re-election in the ultra-Democratic 14th Congressional District in New York which she won by a large margin in the past.
In November, AOC easily defeated her Republican opponent Tina Forte by a whopping 70.6% compared to her 27.5%.
Ocasio-Cortez entered politics in 2018 when she defeated Democratic incumbent Joseph Crowley and then went on to win the district’s general election in 2018.
Ocasio-Cortez has proven a number of times now that she will not back down to get what she wants.
In 2022, AOC actually attacked President Biden for not pardoning illegal immigrants when he decided to let people off of simple marijuana possession charges.
“I can at least say with Latino voters, we’ve never tried as a party. The Democratic Party has not tried in terms of Latino electorates. And, I mean, where’s our Dream Act, where is our immigration reform. And even recently with President Biden’s marijuana executive order, I very much applaud that he went there, but he exempted people who were convicted if they were convicted while they were undocumented,” Ocasio-Cortez said attacking Biden.
Ocasio-Cortez has every intention of staying in Congress for the rest of her career. With her being only 33 years old, something tells us we will be hearing from her for a very long time.
