This was shocking!

A high-profile House hearing on national security was thrown into disorder Thursday after Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was repeatedly disrupted by radical protesters while briefing lawmakers on threats facing the United States.

The incident unfolded just moments after Noem began her opening remarks before the House of Representatives during a hearing focused on global and domestic security challenges.

One protester, dressed as a priest and holding a crucifix, abruptly stood and shouted slogans opposing immigration enforcement, yelling, “End deportations!” and “The power of Christ compels you!” The disruption briefly halted the proceedings as committee staff warned the individual that interrupting an official congressional hearing can be a criminal offense.

Despite the warning, the protester continued shouting until Capitol security escorted him from the room.

Before order could be fully restored, a second agitator stood up, waved a protest sign, and shouted anti-ICE slogans, accusing federal immigration officers of targeting communities. Security officers quickly intervened and removed the second protester as well.

Secretary Noem remained composed throughout the incident and refused to allow the outbursts to derail the hearing. She resumed her testimony and laid out the Trump administration’s strategy to restore border control and enforce federal law.

Secretary Noem said that under President Trump, DHS is locking down the border, reestablishing respect for the law, and defending the nation. She added that the department is breaking up international criminal networks, blocking dangerous drugs, ending illegal immigration, and restoring order to the immigration system.

The hearing, titled “Worldwide Threats to the Homeland,” allowed lawmakers to question administration officials on a wide range of national security concerns, including terrorism, cartel activity, human trafficking, and border enforcement.

Noem highlighted what she described as one of the most serious risks facing the country: millions of illegal immigrants who entered the United States without proper vetting during the Biden administration.

Other senior officials echoed those concerns during testimony.

“The number one threat we face right now is that we simply do not know who entered our country during the last four years of Biden’s open-border policies,” said National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent.

According to Department of Homeland Security data, more than two million illegal immigrants have been deported since President Trump returned to office, marking one of the most aggressive immigration enforcement efforts in modern U.S. history.

Despite repeated disruptions from protesters, Thursday’s hearing underscored the administration’s commitment to border security—and the growing tension between federal law enforcement and far-left activist groups willing to disrupt official government proceedings.
