Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., is once again making headlines.
This time by inserting herself into a Republican family feud involving President Donald Trump and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.
During a Monday livestream, the New York Democrat claimed that Trump personally stopped Greene from running for Georgia’s U.S. Senate seat in 2026 — a move she insists sparked Greene’s so-called “revenge tour” against the GOP establishment.
“Here’s some tea,” Ocasio-Cortez told her online followers. “Marjorie Taylor Greene wanted to run for Senate … and Trump told her no. The White House and Trump Land shut down her ambitions.”
The far-left congresswoman framed the issue as a personal clash inside “Trump Land,” suggesting Greene’s recent outspokenness is fueled by resentment — not policy.
Greene Fires Back — Focuses on the Real Fight
Greene, however, already made her intentions clear. Back in May, she announced she would not challenge Democrat Sen. Jon Ossoff, calling the Senate “more talk than action.”
“Even with a few good Republicans in the Senate, nothing changes,” Greene wrote on X. “The real problem is the Uniparty — career politicians who keep betraying American families.”
Her message resonated with many conservative voters who are tired of broken promises, runaway spending, and Washington insiders.
Standing Up to Both Parties
Unlike many in Congress, Greene hasn’t been afraid to challenge GOP leadership, demanding action on border security, inflation, and government accountability. Even as Republicans control both Congress and the White House, Greene insists real reform requires courage — not compromise.
She’s also taken a rare independent stance on foreign policy, warning against costly overseas entanglements while calling for humanitarian restraint in Gaza.
Loyal to Trump — But Loyal to America First
Appearing Tuesday on The View, Greene brushed off claims of tension with President Trump.
“I love him,” she said. “When I ran for Congress in 2020, I criticized Republicans and Democrats alike, because I come from a working-class family.”
Her focus remains the same: defending working Americans who are being crushed by rising costs and out-of-touch elites.
Greene Warns GOP: Fix Inflation or Lose the House
In a recent interview, Greene warned that Republicans could lose control of the House if inflation, grocery prices, and gas costs don’t come down soon.
“If Americans are still living paycheck to paycheck, they’ll vote with their wallets,” she cautioned.
For millions of seniors and retirees, the stakes couldn’t be higher. The 2026 elections may decide whether the America First agenda continues — or whether the Washington establishment takes back control.
Bottom Line
While Ocasio-Cortez is busy stirring drama online, Trump and Greene remain central figures in the battle for the GOP’s future — and for the direction of the country. For voters worried about inflation, the border, and America’s standing in the world, one thing is clear: the fight for common-sense leadership is far from over.
