This was much needed.
Washington, D.C. — President Donald J. Trump is honoring the sacred traditions of Easter with a powerful and deeply meaningful Holy Week celebration at the White House, showing once again his unwavering support for America’s Christian heritage and values.
Led by the newly created White House Faith Office, this year’s Easter observance is being described as “extraordinary” and “historic” — a spiritual week of prayer, worship, and national reflection designed to uplift millions of believers across the country.
“President Trump is committed to celebrating Holy Week with the reverence it deserves,” said Jennifer Korn, Faith Director at the White House. “This is a special time of prayer and worship, not only inside the White House, but for Christians across the nation.”
Holy Week Events Under President Trump
- A Presidential Proclamation on Palm Sunday reaffirming America’s Judeo-Christian foundation
- A special Easter video message from the President on Monday
- A White House Easter Dinner on Wednesday evening with hymns by the Marine Corps Band and worship by Christian opera singer Charles Billingsley
- A Holy Thursday worship service featuring communion, scripture, and music from Liberty University
- Participation by leading pastors including Paula White, Franklin Graham, Greg Laurie, and Jentezen Franklin
Each event is designed to honor the true meaning of Easter — the resurrection of Jesus Christ — and to re-center faith in the heart of American public life.
“This is what leadership rooted in faith and values looks like,” said White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. “President Trump promised Christians across this country that he would restore prayer, religious freedom, and Christian values in government — and he has delivered.”
A Stark Contrast to the Biden Administration
This year’s Holy Week celebration also highlights the sharp contrast between President Trump’s pro-faith leadership and the anti-Christian agenda of the previous administration.
In 2024, while millions of Christians prepared to honor the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Biden White House marked Easter Sunday as ‘Transgender Day of Visibility.’
“It was appalling,” said Leavitt. “A direct insult to millions of believers. The most sacred day on the Christian calendar was replaced with a political message that dismissed our faith entirely.”
Critics say this move reflects a broader pattern under Biden — erasing Christian values, pushing radical social agendas, and ignoring the voice of the faith-based community.
President Trump, by contrast, continues to boldly defend Christianity in schools, hospitals, the military, and government, standing strong against cancel culture and left-wing ideology.
Faith, Freedom, and Leadership That Respects Tradition
With the nation watching, President Trump is once again proving that God, country, and family are at the core of his vision for America.
As millions of Christian voters prepare for Easter and look toward the future, one thing is clear: faith has returned to the White House, and under President Trump, it’s here to stay.
Good for his. We also heed the real national anthem in schools.
