Trump is ready to start negotiating and the nations that do can benefit.
BREAKING: Trump’s Tariff Crackdown Forces South Korea to the Table – “America Comes First Again”
In another bold move that’s shaking up global trade, President Donald J. Trump is taking a hard stand—and the world is paying attention.
On Tuesday, President Trump held a powerful call with South Korea’s acting President Han Duck-Soo to hammer out what he described as a “great deal” on tariffs. With new global trade levies taking effect at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, countries around the world are racing to stay ahead of Trump’s America First economic policy.
“Their top TEAM is on a plane heading to the U.S., and things are looking good,” Trump shared on Truth Social, celebrating what he called a “great call.”
South Korean exports are set to face a 25% tariff under the president’s historic “Liberation Day” tariff package, announced April 2. It’s a key part of Trump’s renewed push to bring fairness and strength back to American trade—and it’s already producing results.
🇺🇸 Trump Delivers Results – The World Scrambles
“Our message is simple,” President Trump said. “If you want access to the world’s greatest economy, then you need to treat American workers and businesses fairly. We’re done being taken advantage of.”
According to the president, South Korea isn’t alone—nations across the globe are lining up to strike deals before facing stiff penalties.
“Just like with South Korea, we’re putting other important issues on the table beyond just trade and tariffs—and we’re getting those worked out too. It’s what I call ‘one-stop shopping’—smart, streamlined, and incredibly effective!” Trump stated.
On Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his interest in removing all trade barriers with the U.S., and Vietnam immediately dispatched negotiators to Washington.
💥 China Hesitates as Trump Doubles Down
Even China is starting to blink. Just one day after President Trump warned of an additional 50% tariff on top of last week’s 34%, he said Beijing was already showing signs of caving.
“China is eager to strike a deal—they just haven’t figured out how to begin,” Trump posted. “We’re standing by for their call. It’s only a matter of time!”
Meanwhile, South Korea has made it clear: they won’t follow China’s lead in retaliatory politics. Speaking to CNN, Han Duck-Soo dismissed calls for a regional response with Japan and China.
“I don’t think that kind of fighting back will improve the situation dramatically,” Han said. “It’s not profitable for Korea.”
💼 U.S. Treasury Confirms Talks Are Expanding
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Fox Business Network that negotiations with multiple countries are heating up—and could stretch into June—as President Trump works to reset the broken global trade system.
This is yet another example of President Trump delivering on his promises: protect American jobs, rebuild U.S. manufacturing, and reassert our economic leadership.
