How could this have happened?!?
President Donald Trump’s Turnberry golf resort in Scotland was recently targeted by vandals who left behind pro-Palestinian graffiti. The protest group responsible for the damage, Palestine Action, took credit for the act, expressing anger over Trump’s stance on Gaza.
Images shared by local media on Saturday showed red paint scrawled across walls of the golf course with messages like “Free Gaza,” “Free Palestine,” and harsh words aimed at Trump. One of the greens was marked with the phrase “Gaza is not for sale,” and several holes were reportedly dug up in the course.
The protestors made their statement clear through social media, with Palestine Action declaring: “While Trump tries to treat Gaza as his personal property, he should understand that no place is beyond reach, not even his own properties.”
This vandalism follows controversial remarks made by Trump last month, where he boldly suggested that the United States should take control of Gaza, resettle its population of over 2 million Palestinians, and transform it into what he called the “Riviera of the Middle East.” The comments sparked outrage across the Arab world and provoked widespread condemnation.
In response to the incident at Turnberry, Police Scotland launched an investigation. A spokesperson confirmed that officers were notified of the damage at around 4:40 AM on March 8, 2025. Enquiries are ongoing as the authorities work to identify those responsible for the attack.
This incident is part of a larger wave of protests that have escalated in recent weeks, with another protester seen climbing the Big Ben tower in London, waving a Palestinian flag. These acts of defiance show how tensions over the Gaza situation continue to stir emotions across the globe, even reaching the doorstep of one of America’s most prominent political figures.
