Democrats Say Trump Is Getting Revenge On Them, You Agree?

Hollywood Star’s Passport Changed By Trump

Hunter Schafer, one of the most prominent transgender figures in Hollywood, recently revealed that after her passport was stolen, she was issued a new one that listed her gender as male. This occurred despite her original passport identifying her as female. Schafer, who has starred in popular shows such as HBO’s Euphoria and will appear in Amazon’s upcoming Blade Runner 2099, shared her experience in a TikTok video, explaining that this change was the result of a policy put in place by the Trump administration.

In January of 2021, President Trump signed an executive order that significantly impacted the way the U.S. government recognized gender. The order, which stated that only two genders—male and female—would be officially acknowledged by the federal government, required all federal documents to reflect a person’s sex at birth. This included a directive that suspended processing of passport applications from individuals seeking to change their gender marker.

Schafer, who identified as female since adolescence, noted that she never amended her birth certificate, which may have led to the male marker being placed on her new passport. While she emphasized that the gender designation on her passport doesn’t change who she is, she acknowledged the difficulties this new reality might cause.

“I don’t care what they put on my passport; it doesn’t change who I am. But it does make my life harder,” Schafer stated in her video. She expressed concern over potential challenges during her international travel, including the possibility of having to disclose her gender identity to Customs and Border Protection officers.

This incident highlights the ongoing conflict over transgender rights and the policies put forth by the Trump administration. Since returning to office, President Trump has continued to issue executive orders restricting transgender rights, including banning trans women from participating in female sports, halting federal support for gender-affirming care for minors, and preventing transgender individuals from serving openly in the military.

While the transgender community faces ongoing challenges, it’s clear that the push for policies that preserve traditional gender distinctions remains a significant part of the national conversation. For many Republicans, this is about maintaining the integrity of biological gender and protecting women’s spaces from potential harm. Schafer’s experience is a reminder of how policy decisions directly impact people’s lives and identities.
