Sylvester Stallone Endorses Trump

Sylvester Stallone recently made headlines for praising President Donald Trump in a manner that drew a striking comparison to one of the most revered figures in American history—George Washington. Speaking at the America First Policy Institute Gala held at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, Stallone called Trump “the second George Washington,” highlighting the significant impact the President has had on the nation.

In his remarks, Stallone reflected on the revolutionary role George Washington played in shaping America, remarking that Washington “had no idea that he was going to change the world.” He went on to stress that without Washington’s leadership, the world as we know it today would look dramatically different. This was the backdrop for his bold declaration that President Trump is a modern-day counterpart to Washington’s legendary leadership, drawing loud applause from the crowd.

Stallone also shared a personal anecdote from his iconic film Rocky, which he believes mirrors Trump’s journey in some ways. In the opening scene of the film, an image of Jesus transitions into the character of Rocky, who is being pummeled in the ring. For Stallone, this represented the idea that Rocky, like Trump, was a “chosen person” destined for something much bigger. “Something was going to happen,” Stallone said. “This man was going to go through a metamorphosis and change lives,” just as President Trump did during his time in office.

Stallone went on to describe Trump as a “mythical character” who accomplished what no one thought possible, noting that there is no one else in the world who could have pulled off what Trump did. “I’m in awe,” the actor admitted as he introduced Trump to the audience, underscoring his admiration for the President’s unique place in history.

Stallone, who has visited Mar-a-Lago on multiple occasions, also has a personal connection to Trump’s presidency. In 2018, President Trump pardoned boxing legend Jack Johnson, a move that Stallone had personally encouraged. This endorsement only solidified the bond between the two figures.
