Nobody Believes Kamala
On Friday, Scott Jennings, a CNN contributor and former special assistant to President George W. Bush, sharply criticized Vice President Kamala Harris’s recent statements regarding President Joe Biden’s health. Jennings pointed out that Harris’s assurances that Biden’s health has been robust throughout his presidency are increasingly unconvincing to the American public.
During a panel discussion on CNN, Jennings highlighted a significant discrepancy in Harris’s claims. He argued that despite Harris’s repeated assertions about Biden’s good health and strength, the reality is that these claims are not aligning with what the public perceives. He remarked, “It’s noteworthy that Harris, who is the Democratic nominee, didn’t acknowledge any responsibility in her recent CNN interview for assuring the American people that Joe Biden was in good health when it is clear that’s not the case. The fact that he’s no longer in the race while she continues to uphold the narrative that he was and is in good health just doesn’t hold water.”
Jennings further criticized the situation by stating, “Nobody believes that narrative.” In response, Ashley Allison, a former Biden staffer, defended Harris’s position, stating, “I do.” Jennings, however, countered with a pointed question: “Then why isn’t he running?”
Allison replied by suggesting that Biden’s age is the primary reason for his withdrawal, noting that age is a concern for other candidates as well, including Donald Trump. “The simple fact is, he’s too old,” Allison asserted.
Jennings concluded the debate by emphasizing the implications for public trust and character. He said, “Most Americans are aware of the truth. When a candidate stands before the people and offers assurances that are clearly contradicted by reality, it raises serious questions about their credibility and character.” This exchange indicates the growing skepticism about the narratives coming from Washington and highlights the broader concerns about leadership and transparency.
