President Biden Humiliates Veterans
Some Marine Corps veterans are expressing their disappointment over President Joe Biden’s decision to commemorate the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in Alaska instead of New York City, labeling it as a significant letdown for the American people.
According to Newsmax, the White House has announced that President Biden intends to participate in a memorial ceremony at a military base in Alaska, while First Lady Jill Biden will lay a wreath at the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial. Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris and second gentleman Doug Emhoff are set to visit New York City and take part in a ceremony at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.
Mark Geist, a Marine Corps veteran, shared that he vividly recalls sitting on his couch, watching the morning news when the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks unfolded. He emphasized that, during his nine years overseas, each day began with a prayer for those lost on that fateful day and all subsequent days. Geist expressed his expectation for the same level of reverence and compassion from the country’s politicians, particularly its leader, adding that the absence of such sentiment deeply saddens him as it signifies what the nation is losing.
Victor Marx, another Marine Corps veteran, characterized Biden’s decision to skip New York as a “missed opportunity” that conveys the wrong message. He stated that by not visiting the sites, President Biden is missing a chance to demonstrate his commitment to upholding the values and principles that define the nation, potentially leaving some questioning his understanding of the significance of this solemn day in American history.
Force Recon Marine veteran Chad Robichaux expressed that it’s becoming increasingly difficult to be surprised by this administration’s lack of respect. He described it as yet another disappointment for Americans.
Notably, in 2021, Biden visited all three crash sites to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and delivered a speech at the Pentagon.
Representative Cory Mills of Texas commented that President Biden will be the first president who did not visit a 9/11 site, or at least the White House, to acknowledge the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Mills expressed doubts about Biden’s mental competency to do so and labeled it as another instance of disrespect toward the American people, especially following his poor decisions that led to the creation of 13 new Gold Star families during the Afghan withdrawal.
