On Thursday, former President Donald Trump will make a critical visit to the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona’s Cochise County, underscoring what he describes as the Biden-Harris administration’s failure to address the severe migrant crisis plaguing our nation. This visit comes on the same day Vice President Kamala Harris is set to accept her nomination at the DNC in Chicago.

Trump’s visit aims to spotlight the administration’s delayed response to a border crisis that has escalated over the past few years. His campaign has been vocal about what it sees as the administration’s inadequacies, emphasizing that despite nearly 10 million illegal crossings, the release of individuals on the terrorist watch list, and a surge in fentanyl and crime, the situation remains unresolved. According to the Trump campaign, “America is grappling with an unprecedented border crisis exacerbated by Kamala Harris’s ineffective leadership.”

Recent months have seen a decline in border crossings, attributed to President Biden’s June executive order that limits asylum processing at the border when illegal entries exceed a certain threshold. Nevertheless, Trump has criticized this move as insufficient and pointed out that the crisis persists.

In a statement on Truth Social, Trump asserted, “Tomorrow, I will be going to the Southern Border to address the plague of migrant crime and migrant rape that so-called Border Czar Kamala Harris has unleashed on America. This nightmare ends, and ends immediately, with our VICTORY in November!” He further highlighted the troubling news of illegal aliens arrested in connection with violent crimes in New York City.

During his visit, Trump is expected to discuss several pressing issues, including crimes committed by undocumented immigrants, the scarcity of jobs for American workers, and the fentanyl epidemic, which tragically leads to the most deaths among U.S. adults aged 18 to 45. Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels is anticipated to join Trump, emphasizing the local impact of the border crisis.

Taylor Rogers, spokesperson for the Republican National Committee, criticized Harris’s handling of the situation, stating, “While failed border czar Kamala Harris hides from the illegal immigrant invasion created by her radical policies, President Trump is taking action at the southern border.
