Trump Says His Judge Is Coordinating With Biden, You Believe Him?

Schumer Saves Mayorkas As Border Crumbles

Democrats are letting the United States crumble before our very eyes!

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer from New York made it clear on Wednesday that he intends to push for the dismissal of the two articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, which were passed by the House. Schumer denounced these charges as baseless and lacking in credibility.

Following the swearing-in of Senators as jurors at 1 p.m., Schumer outlined his plan to facilitate Republican involvement by seeking a time agreement. This agreement would enable Republicans to propose trial resolutions and points of order before moving swiftly to dismiss the case.

Schumer emphasized the political nature of the impeachment, asserting that it serves the purpose of aiding Donald Trump’s political agenda rather than addressing any actual crimes or misdemeanors. He expressed confidence in having enough Democratic votes to secure the dismissal, which only requires a simple majority.

However, the stance of Senator Jon Tester from Montana, who is facing a tough reelection battle, remains uncertain. His vote, if aligned with Republicans, could disrupt Schumer’s strategy of avoiding a trial should all 49 GOP senators vote against dismissal.

Schumer criticized the House impeachment as lacking legitimacy, substance, and being excessively politicized, dubbing it the most dubious impeachment trial in U.S. history. Notably, forty-three Republican senators urged Schumer in a recent letter to proceed with a trial, highlighting the Senate’s historical precedent of either conducting a full trial or referring charges to a special committee whenever impeachment articles have been forwarded by the House over the past two centuries.
