Biden Lies, Reopens Border For Illegals
Biden is clearly tricking American voters.
Just 2 days after publishing an executive order to tighten control over illegal immigration, President Biden reversed his own decision. According to a Washington Examiner report, border agents in California were instructed to allow illegals from around 94 countries to enter the U.S.
The Washington Examiner detailed that a leaked Border Patrol document informed federal law enforcement in the San Diego area of this updated guidance. Under this new policy, only adults from Georgia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan would be sent to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for quick removal. Migrants from other Eastern Hemisphere countries would be permitted entry while awaiting their asylum hearings, effectively continuing prior practices.
The San Diego region frequently encounters migrants from Asia, Europe, and Africa, who are often more challenging to deport.
This new guidance contradicted earlier statements from Biden administration officials. Initially, officials had outlined new rules for asylum seekers, explaining that all migrants from outside the Western Hemisphere would be subject to the new rules. This was intended to ensure swift consequences for migrants regardless of their country of origin.
However, the policy was revised just two days later.
A Customs and Border Protection official later informed the Washington Examiner that agents in the San Diego area would continue placing illegals of all nationalities into quick removal proceedings, which seemed to contradict the leaked memo. The official mentioned that limited funding was impacting the enforcement of Biden’s initial executive order.
The New York Post also reported that many migrants might avoid the new order if their home countries refuse to accept them back. A leaked memo indicated that single adults and family units difficult to deport due to restrictions on repatriation flights could still be processed for fast removal or put into section 240 removal programs. Section 240 programs involve releasing migrants into the U.S. if they cannot be deported, continuing previous practices.
Former President Donald Trump criticized the executive order, suggesting it was merely a public relations move that allowed large numbers of people to continue entering the country. He described it as misleading and ineffective.
