Ivanka Insults Her Dad On Father’s Day
Ivanka Trump, the daughter of former President Donald Trump, ended her Twitter silence on Sunday following her father’s recent federal indictment.
According to Newsweek, Donald Trump, who has been the leading contender for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination since launching his reelection campaign in November last year, is currently facing 37 federal charges related to the alleged mishandling of classified documents he took with him when he left the White House in January 2021. The Department of Justice (DOJ) conducted an investigation, revealing that the former president had taken sensitive materials to his private residence, Mar-a-Lago, in Florida, and impeded the government’s efforts to return the documents to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). Trump pleaded not guilty to the charges in a Miami federal courthouse on Tuesday and has consistently maintained his innocence during the DOJ’s probe.
On Sunday, Ivanka took to Twitter to wish her husband, Jared Kushner, a Happy Father’s Day. This tweet marked her first public statement since her father’s federal indictment. In her tweet, she expressed her gratitude and appreciation for Jared’s role as a father and partner, emphasizing the joy, guidance, and limitless love he brings to their lives. Sadly however there was no mention of her father Donald Trump whatsoever.
Happy Father’s Day, Jared! Today and every day, the kids and I celebrate the incredible father and loving partner you are. Thank you for the countless ways you fill our lives with joy, guidance, and boundless love 💙✨🥰 pic.twitter.com/imfgAdICVm

Following her father’s departure from the White House in January 2021, Ivanka, who previously served as a senior adviser in the administration, has distanced herself from politics. Her most recent tweet on June 3 featured a picture of her and Jared attending the wedding of Jordan’s Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah and Princess Rajwa al Hussein.
Robert Collins, a political analyst and professor at Dillard University, commented on Ivanka’s silence regarding her father’s federal indictment, stating that it could be perceived as “hurtful.” Collins explained that in any criminal case involving a politician, demonstrating support from family members is beneficial to the defendant, enhancing their image with voters and potential jurors. He speculated that Ivanka’s silence might stem from her focus on resolving her own legal matters, as she and her husband are potentially under investigation for their dealings with Saudi Arabia. Recent scrutiny arose regarding Kushner’s ties to Saudi Arabia after The Washington Post reported in February that a sovereign wealth fund chaired by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had given $2 billion to Kushner’s Affinity Fund. The Trump administration faced criticism for forging closer ties with Saudi Arabia, leading to various controversies.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump’s sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, have been actively expressing their opinions amidst their father’s escalating legal troubles. Trump Jr. tweeted the day before his father’s arraignment, claiming, “This indictment is just more evidence that there’s one rule for Democrats and one rule for the rest of us.” Eric also addressed his father’s indictment on Twitter, suggesting that the Durham report and the fabricated Russia hoax had put them through “3 years of hell” and expressing his expectation for the games to stop.
