Trump’s Georgia Case Thrown Out?
President Donald Trump has once again moved to have a criminal case against him dismissed, this time in Georgia, where he faces charges related to alleged election interference in the aftermath of the 2020 election. Following his victory in the 2024 election, Trump’s legal team has filed a motion requesting that the charges in Fulton County be thrown out, arguing that they are unconstitutional and based on faulty legal grounds.
This latest filing marks Trump’s ongoing effort to challenge the charges that accuse him of engaging in an unlawful conspiracy to overturn President Joe Biden’s victory in Georgia. The case, which remains in the pre-trial phase, has been tied up in appeals for months as Trump’s legal team argues that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis should be disqualified due to her relationship with Nathan Wade, a key prosecutor on the case who was forced to step aside.
Trump’s lead attorney, Steve Sadow, argued that the case should never have been brought to court in the first place. In the latest motion, Sadow contends that both the trial court and the appeals court lack jurisdiction over the matter. He insists that the charges against Trump are politically motivated and that the legal process should be halted before it moves forward. Sadow went as far as to state that any further prosecution would be unconstitutional, given the circumstances surrounding the case and the apparent bias within the Fulton County legal team.
This request follows the dismissal of Trump’s two federal indictments, further solidifying his stance that the legal system is being weaponized against him. The former president’s legal team is seeking to have the Georgia case dismissed on similar grounds, urging the court to recognize the violation of Trump’s rights and put an end to what they view as a politically driven prosecution. With his appeal still pending, Trump and his supporters continue to stand firm in their belief that these legal battles are nothing more than a partisan attack on the will of the people.
We don’t need more leftist liberals as voting citizens in the USA. Keep the French commies out. I think Trump was probably just making a threatening statememt to shut up the Canuck PM
