Trump Shuts What Down Immediately?
On Monday, just minutes after the new president took office, officials from the Trump administration swiftly acted to halt a controversial mobile app that allowed migrants to schedule appointments for entry at the U.S.-Mexico border. The shutdown of the CBP One app, which had been designed to facilitate legal border crossings for migrants without visas, effectively canceled all outstanding appointments. This move is part of the administration’s broader strategy to take a stronger stance on border security, even as illegal immigration has dropped significantly in recent months.
According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), 96,048 foreign nationals were encountered at the southern border in December alone. Nearly half of those, 48,722 individuals, presented themselves at official ports of entry, seeking lawful entry into the United States. Prior to November, the last time monthly border encounters fell below 100,000 was in January 2021, the month when President Biden was inaugurated. Back then, CBP recorded only 78,414 encounters, with just over 3,000 individuals presenting at ports of entry, while the majority were apprehended by Border Patrol after crossing illegally.
The CBP One app was a key part of the Biden administration’s strategy to direct migrants toward legal pathways for asylum. However, with the Trump administration’s return to power, it is clear that the focus has shifted toward reinforcing the policies that were in place during Trump’s first term, such as the widely praised “Remain in Mexico” policy. This policy, formally known as the Migrant Protection Protocols, required thousands of migrants to wait in Mexico while their asylum claims were processed in the U.S.
These executive actions signal a return to the tough, common-sense border policies that prioritize American security and sovereignty over facilitating illegal immigration. By rolling back the CBP One app and reinstating the Remain in Mexico policy, the Trump administration is reaffirming its commitment to restoring order and control at the U.S.-Mexico border.
“Trump Calls Biden’s Fauci and Cheney Pardons ‘Disgraceful’, You Agree?”
absolutely!! so how do we get justice??!! Fauci is responsible for millions of deaths!! President Trump needs to find a way around these despicable “pardons”. Fauci needs to face a trial. the new AG needs to do what they did for OJ. come up with a legitimate end-run to convict him on other charges. Fauci must NOT go free. the blood of MILLIONS needs to be accounted for!!
and maybe to prevent this type of tragedy from happening in the future, President Trump should charge Bidet (pun intended) with being an accessory since he is the one responsible for allowing these criminals to remain free. if this happens, then maybe future presidents/governors will think twice about pardoning real criminals.
