Top Democrat Snaps On Trump
Senator Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) recently clashed with tech magnate Elon Musk after Musk called him a “traitor” for his stance on the ongoing war in Ukraine. Kelly had visited Ukraine and expressed his strong support for the Ukrainian people, urging the United States to continue standing by their side against Russian aggression.
In a fiery response on X (formerly Twitter), Kelly rejected Musk’s accusation, stating, “Elon, if you don’t understand that defending freedom is a core principle that makes America great and ensures our safety, maybe it’s best to leave it to those of us who do.” Kelly’s response came after Musk labeled him a traitor, following a post in which Kelly shared his thoughts after visiting Ukraine over the weekend.
During his trip, Kelly emphasized the importance of Ukraine’s security and made it clear that any peace agreement should not concede to Russian demands or give an advantage to Vladimir Putin. Kelly, a former U.S. Navy combat pilot, spent time touring a military hospital and meeting with Red Cross personnel. This was his third trip to Ukraine since 2023, where he witnessed firsthand the devastation caused by Russian aggression.
In a detailed thread on X, Kelly argued that President Trump’s actions were weakening Ukraine’s position and that Russian forces routinely target civilians and hospitals. He described Putin as a “war criminal” and warned that if Putin succeeded in taking more territory, it would put not only Ukraine but also NATO allies and American troops at risk.
This exchange between Musk and Kelly is just the latest chapter in their ongoing feud. Previously, Kelly and his brother, Scott Kelly, both former astronauts, criticized Musk after he targeted another astronaut on social media. Despite their differences, Kelly’s firm position on Ukraine highlights the importance of standing up for freedom and defending American values in the face of foreign aggression.
If I’d trust anyone’s opinion on money or financial advice, I would be President Trump and his cabinet. He didn’t build his business empire by guessing or reading the Bazooka Joe comics from his bubble gum wrappers!
