Trump Doubles Down On GOP Traitor
LOUISVILLE, KY — President Donald Trump has officially gone to war with one of the most controversial figures in his own party — Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) — and he’s backing a decorated Navy SEAL hero to take his place.
In a fiery Truth Social post on Monday, Trump ripped into Massie, calling him a “weak and pathetic RINO” who’s failed Kentucky voters and the America First movement.
Trump blasted Massie as “a failed, weak RINO from Kentucky — a state I love and have proudly won six times — who needs to be voted out immediately.”
Trump then threw his full support behind Ed Gallrein, a Navy SEAL and farmer, praising him as the kind of strong, America First conservative needed to restore the nation’s strength under Trump’s leadership.
“The incredible people of Kentucky’s 4th District gave us a mandate to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN,” Trump said. “The man who will help us do it is Captain Ed Gallrein — a combat veteran, successful businessman, and defender of our great American values.”
Trump highlighted Gallrein’s record of military service and business leadership, saying he will secure the border, crack down on migrant crime, and defend the Second Amendment from the Left’s ongoing attacks.
Gallrein’s campaign has gained immediate traction among conservatives across Kentucky who say it’s time for real leadership, not “showboating and grandstanding” from Washington politicians.
Meanwhile, Massie — who has often clashed with Trump and sided with Democrats on several key votes — faces growing backlash from the party’s grassroots base. He recently joined forces with progressive Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) to demand the release of documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein, a move that raised eyebrows among Republicans.
Massie also broke with Trump on his landmark reconciliation plan, the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” deepening their long-running feud.
Despite his falling popularity among MAGA voters, Massie remains well-funded with more than $2 million cash on hand and over $768,000 raised between July and September, according to the Federal Election Commission.
Still, with Trump’s endorsement — long considered a game-changer in GOP primaries — Gallrein’s candidacy could reshape the race overnight. The battle lines are now drawn: America First vs. Washington Insider.
As Kentucky’s GOP primary heats up, one thing is clear — President Trump isn’t backing down, and neither are his supporters.
