A new Wall Street Journal poll found that President Biden’s approval rating on the economy is low, with only 37% of registered voters approving of his handling of the economy. A majority of voters, 59%, disapprove of Biden’s approach to the economy.

The poll, which was conducted between August 24-30, also found that Biden’s approval rating on his overall job performance is 42%, with 54% disapproving.

Despite the low approval ratings, Biden has continued to tout the economy, pointing to the strong job growth in recent months. In August, the U.S. economy added 372,000 jobs, the 12th consecutive month of job growth.

However, Biden’s critics argue that the economy is not doing as well as he claims. They point to rising inflation, which is at a 40-year high, and the ongoing supply chain disruptions.
