Pence Says Trump Is Betraying Republicans, Is He Right?

Leaked Audio: Biden Blasted By Own Staff

It seems like the White House doesn’t even like Biden.

In a recent revelation, former White House chief of staff Ron Klain voiced his discontent with President Biden’s handling of pressing issues such as inflation and rising grocery prices, as per a fresh report.

Leaked audio recordings captured Klain expressing frustration over Biden’s predominant focus on infrastructure matters, criticizing the excessive attention given to bridges while overlooking the escalating costs of everyday essentials like eggs and milk, as reported by Politico.

“It’s concerning to see the President continually emphasizing bridges,” Klain is heard saying in the leaked audio. “He dedicates a considerable amount of time to ribbon-cutting ceremonies for bridges. But when you visit a grocery store and witness the soaring prices of basic necessities like eggs and milk, the significance of these bridges fades away.”

“He isn’t vying for a congressional seat; he’s not running a campaign,” Klain continued. “It seems futile. Moreover, the media coverage of such events is minimal because, frankly, how captivating is a bridge? It holds some interest, but not enough to warrant such focus.”

The recording surfaced from a private event hosted by “Democracy: A Journal of Ideas,” where Klain was a guest speaker. Klain, who served as White House chief of staff until early February 2023, further expounded on his remarks during a subsequent interview with Politico, maintaining his stance on the issue.

“The President’s most resonant economic message should pivot around delineating whose interests he represents and demonstrating empathy for families grappling with financial strains, along with outlining his agenda to alleviate costs and augment incomes,” Klain conveyed to the outlet. “Commending accomplishments, particularly those with abstract implications, holds less sway with voters.”

In response to Klain’s critique, White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates defended Biden’s actions.

“As Ron highlighted, President Biden is actively engaging with communities nationwide, reinforcing his commitment to bolstering the middle class and reducing expenses such as prescription drugs, while resisting the regressive agenda pushed by Republican officials catering to wealthy special interests,” Bates asserted to Politico.

During March, Biden placed a significant emphasis on infrastructure, embarking on a tour across Wisconsin and Michigan to unveil a $3.3 billion investment in infrastructure projects targeting marginalized communities.

“We’re revamping roads, fixing sidewalks, creating safe spaces for living, working, and leisure, ensuring access to fresh, healthy groceries,” Biden proclaimed during an event in Milwaukee.

The announced grants, totaling $3.3 billion, encompassed 132 projects spanning cities like Atlanta, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, as well as Birmingham, Syracuse, and Toledo. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg noted that while some projects are modest and swiftly achievable, others are grand endeavors requiring substantial time and resources.
