Pence Gives Up To Trump

Former Vice President Mike Pence expressed his view in Iowa that Donald Trump, his former boss, lacks the qualifications to serve as president again due to the events of January 6, 2021. However, he also mentioned his willingness to support Trump if he were to secure the 2024 GOP nomination.

According to Newsmax, during his speech in Ankeny, Iowa, former Vice President Mike Pence announced his official candidacy for the 2024 Republican nomination. Pence, who previously revealed that he was directed by Trump to impede the certification of the Electoral College, faced a consequential decision between upholding the Constitution and remaining loyal to his boss.

Pence stated, “I believe that anyone who puts themselves over the Constitution should never be president of the United States. And anyone who asks someone else to put them over the Constitution should never be president of the United States again.”

Following his speech, former Vice President Mike Pence was interviewed by Fox News. During the interview, he was posed with a question regarding his commitment to supporting the eventual nominee, which is a prerequisite mandated by the Republican National Committee for all GOP candidates aiming to participate in the inaugural primary debate in Milwaukee scheduled for August.

In response to the inquiry from Fox News’ Sandra Smith and John Roberts, former Vice President Mike Pence affirmed his commitment to backing the Republican nominee for the 2024 presidential election. He expressed his dedication to the Republican Party, highlighting his longstanding affiliation since his involvement in the Reagan Revolution. Pence expressed optimism about the strong pool of candidates vying for the party’s nomination, acknowledging the talented men and women participating in the race. Furthermore, he humorously added that he would especially support the nominee if it happened to be himself.

With firm conviction, former Vice President Mike Pence expressed his belief in the availability of superior options in the forthcoming days. The vibrant enthusiasm he encountered while traveling through Iowa and witnessing it firsthand bolstered his confidence that not only would he endorse, but wholeheartedly support the Republican nominee for the presidency. He emphasized his unwavering dedication to exerting maximum effort alongside his family to achieve that shared goal.
