Jack Schlossberg, grandson of former President Kennedy, has been appointed as a political correspondent for Vogue in the lead-up to the 2024 elections, the magazine revealed on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old son of Caroline Kennedy, U.S. Ambassador to Australia, shared with Vogue his concerns about the potential re-election of former President Trump, emphasizing the significant long-term work required to address the consequences. “The effort it takes to vote once a year is minimal compared to the ongoing work needed to rectify such outcomes,” he commented during his interview with Vogue.

Schlossberg, who holds both a JD and an MBA from Harvard, will leverage his legal and business expertise in his new role at Vogue. He regards his grandfather not only as a hero but as a benchmark for progressive politics in America.

Growing up with the unique responsibilities that accompany his family name, Schlossberg said he has become increasingly engaged in politics, an involvement that has only boosted his optimism for the future.

He previously made headlines for criticizing his cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s independent presidential campaign and endorsing President Biden’s re-election. “These issues are critical, and supporting Biden would reflect that understanding,” he stated last year.

On TikTok, Schlossberg has gained popularity by blending political commentary with humor. He believes his authenticity and clear intent resonate well with his audience. “In such a pivotal moment in history, I’m driven to engage more actively, to dispel the pervasive negativity in politics and highlight the importance of positivity and participation in this election cycle,” he explained to Vogue.
