Trump Stands Up For Democrat Destroyed By Biden

Biden does not like it when Democrats tell the truth.

Over the recent weekend, former President Donald Trump made an assertion regarding Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar, suggesting that the Justice Department’s indictment of Cuellar was motivated by his criticism of President Biden’s management of the ongoing border situation.

Trump, in a post on Truth Social, conveyed his belief that Cuellar, a respected Democrat, faced legal action because he didn’t align with what Trump termed as President Biden’s “Open Border game.” According to Trump, Cuellar’s stance on border control clashed with Biden’s approach, leading to what he characterized as an abuse of power by using federal agencies against political opponents.

Expressing disdain for what he labeled as “D.C. Thugs,” Trump warned of consequences for what he sees as detrimental actions to the nation’s welfare. He reiterated his belief that President Biden’s governance poses a threat to democracy.

In recent times, Trump has intensified his critique of the immigration crisis under President Biden, citing public opinion polls indicating widespread concern about illegal immigration, particularly as the 2024 election approaches.

However, the indictment against Cuellar and his wife, Imelda, is unrelated to border policies. They were formally charged in Houston for allegedly accepting substantial bribes from Socar, Azerbaijan’s state-owned oil and gas firm, and a Mexican bank over several years.

The indictment accuses Cuellar of leveraging his position as a long-serving congressman to influence U.S. policies favoring Azerbaijan and the Mexican bank. Meanwhile, Imelda Cuellar is accused of laundering the bribes through sham consulting contracts and shell companies.

Facing potentially severe penalties, the Cuellars have pleaded not guilty and posted bond following their initial court appearance.

Calls for Cuellar’s resignation have emerged from both sides of the political spectrum. While some Democrats, like Rep. Dean Phillips, advocate for resignation amid low public trust in government, others, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, emphasize the presumption of innocence and due process.

Cuellar, known for his moderate stance within the Democratic Party, has previously voiced dissent against aspects of the Biden administration’s immigration policies, particularly regarding “catch and release.”

Trump’s criticism of legal actions against political figures extends beyond Cuellar. He has previously denounced similar cases, such as those involving Sen. Bob Menendez, attributing them to political vendettas rather than legitimate legal concerns.

In Trump’s view, such indictments represent partisan attacks on individuals who may have fallen out of favor with the current administration, signaling a broader critique of the justice system’s impartiality.
