Romney Crosses The Line Attacking Trump

Romney has stooped to a new low.

Senator Mitt Romney of Utah has cast doubt on the narrative that former President Trump did not engage in a sexual relationship with pornographic actress Stormy Daniels. In an interview with CNN, Romney humorously remarked, “You don’t pay someone $130,000 not to have sex with you.”

The controversy stems from Trump’s former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, who paid Daniels just days before the 2016 presidential election to maintain silence about her alleged affair with Trump. Daniels herself later detailed the encounter with Trump to Anderson Cooper on “60 Minutes,” recounting a liaison in a hotel suite following their meeting at a celebrity golf event in Lake Tahoe in 2006.

Despite Trump’s denial of the affair and threats of legal action against Daniels for breaching a nondisclosure agreement, Romney, a prominent critic of Trump within the Republican Party, expressed his belief in Daniels’s version of events. He remarked to CNN that individuals have formed their own judgments on Trump’s character, and the substantial payment to Daniels raises skepticism.

The affair and the subsequent payment have become pivotal elements in a legal case brought forth by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who has charged Trump with violating New York’s laws pertaining to falsifying business records. Testimony from David Pecker, the former publisher of the National Enquirer, further illuminated the extent of efforts to shield Trump from damaging revelations during his presidential campaign, underscoring the significance of the Daniels saga within the broader legal context.
