Trump Exposes DeSantis’ Secret
Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, used Truth Social to respond to comments made by Ron DeSantis, the Republican Governor of Florida. This happened one day after DeSantis criticized Trump and hinted at a potential announcement of his own presidential campaign for 2024. Trump later pointed out the DeSantis’ approval rating was dropping and he didn’t want the American people to realize it.
In transcript provided by Newsmax, Trump attacked DeSantis and wrote, “Ron DeSanctimonious is running — without running!”
“He’s doing this to subvert election law. Run Ron, Run!” Trump taunted.
Trump then talked about DeSantis’ weak poll numbers and said, “Others have done it before, though, so I can’t really blame him — but he should take a look at his polls, which are crashing like few people have seen before. That’s because he’s merely an average Republican governor who has great public relations, far better than deserved.”
“When you look at the Florida #’s compared to other states, you will not be impressed — I will release them later in the day!” Trump added.
One day prior to Trump’s comments, Ron DeSantis appeared on Piers Morgan’s show and made critical comments about Trump, asserting that he is not suitable to be the next president.
DeSantis made a mockery of Trump and said, “It’s not important for me to be fighting with people on social media. It’s not accomplishing anything for the people I represent.”
“So, we really just focus on knocking out victories, day after day, and if I got involved in all the undertow, I would not be able to be an effective governor,” DeSantis added.
“While I am fighting against radical left lunatics, persecutors, and unfair prosecutors who want to destroy us all, Ron DeSanctimonious is not working for the people of Florida as he should be. He is too busy chatting with a ratings challenged TV host from England, desperately trying to rescue his failing campaign — but it’s my fault, I put him there!” Trump fired back.
Donald Trump claimed responsibility for endorsing Ron DeSantis in his successful campaign for Florida Governor in 2018, and once again endorsed him during the final stages of the 2022 midterms, which ultimately led to DeSantis winning his re-election bid.
