Biden’s Top Priority As Economy And Border Collapse

The United States has a huge number of issues that need to dealt with right now and this is what the Biden Administration is worried about? Yikes!

Recently, Secretary of State Antony Blinken issued guidance to State Department staff aimed at promoting inclusivity and avoiding misgendering individuals. This directive, conveyed through a cable on February 5th, emphasizes the importance of respecting individuals’ gender identities and avoiding assumptions based on appearance or name.

Blinken highlighted that relying solely on visual cues or names to determine gender can be problematic and may convey a harmful and exclusionary message. As such, he urged State Department employees to refrain from using gendered terms like “mother/father,” “son/daughter,” or “husband/wife.”

This initiative follows a previous incident in May, where the State Department inadvertently assigned incorrect pronouns to employees in an email malfunction. In response, counseling was offered to any affected individuals to address any emotional distress caused by the error.

Kelly E. Fletcher, the State Department’s chief information officer, clarified the intent behind offering pronoun customization features, emphasizing inclusivity and providing options for employees. However, she acknowledged that the unintentional error had the opposite effect and expressed regret for any resulting discomfort.

The overarching goal of these measures is to foster a more inclusive and respectful environment within the State Department, where individuals of all gender identities feel valued and respected. Through proactive steps like these, the department aims to uphold principles of diversity and ensure that all employees are treated with dignity and sensitivity.
