Trump Breaks Silence
Following several days of silence, former President Donald Trump has finally addressed the attack which happened on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul Pelosi.
Trump called the attack a “terrible thing” that happened to Pelosi.
According to The Hill, Trump explained, “With Paul Pelosi, that’s a terrible thing, with all of them it’s a terrible thing. Look at what’s happened to San Francisco generally. Look at what’s happening in Chicago. It was far worse than Afghanistan.”
Trump then angered Democrats and explained, “We have to give the police back their dignity, their respect. They can solve the problem. But today if a police officer says something that’s slightly out of line it’s like the end of his life, the end of his pension, the end of his family. We can’t do that. We have to give the police back their authority and their power and their respect. Because this country is out of control.”
Following the attack, President Biden urged everyone, both Republicans and Democrats, to aggressively condemn the attack on Pelosi’s husband.
Democrats and the mainstream have since been trying to tie the attack to conservatives and have related it to the January 6th Capitol riot. Democrats appear to be turning Pelosi’s tragedy into an election issue.
