Are You Happy Trump Is Safe?

Here’s what we know…

The FBI’s investigation has confirmed that Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, carried out the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump during a campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania. The incident unfolded last Saturday when Crooks allegedly fired a shot from a rooftop about 130 yards away, hitting Trump in the upper right ear while he addressed rally attendees ahead of the Republican National Convention.

Tragically, one attendee lost their life, and two others sustained injuries during the shooting. In response to the attack, Crooks himself was fatally shot. The identities of the victims have not been released as investigations continue.

Crooks, born in September and a recent graduate of Bethel Park High School in 2022, was recognized at graduation for receiving a $500 “star award” from the National Math and Science Initiative, an accolade given to several outstanding students from his school. According to public records, Crooks had no previous criminal history, traffic offenses, bankruptcies, liens, or foreclosures.

While registered as a Republican voter, Crooks had limited participation in elections due to his age, though records indicate he voted in the November 8, 2022, state election. It was also noted that he made a $15 donation to the Progressive Turnout Project, a Chicago-based political action committee supporting Democratic candidates and promoting youth, minority, and low-income voter turnout.

The FBI continues to stress that their investigation into the incident is active and ongoing, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward. They have provided avenues for the public to share photos, videos, or tips through official channels.

In conclusion, the tragic events in Butler have left both a community and a nation in mourning, prompting a thorough examination of Thomas Matthew Crooks’ actions and the motivations behind this devastating event.
