IRS Exposes Biden

According to a report by Fox News, IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel has stated that the Department of Justice instructed his agency to exclude a whistleblower from the investigation concerning Hunter Biden’s financial matters.

In transcript provided by Newsmax, Werfel explained to Republicans, “I want to state unequivocally that I have not intervened — and will not intervene — in any way that would impact the status of any whistleblower.”

Werfel went on to write, “The IRS whistleblower you reference alleges that the change in their work assignment came at the direction of the Department of Justice. As a general matter and not in reference to any specific case, I believe it is important to emphasize that in any matter involving federal judicial proceedings, the IRS follows the direction of the Justice Department.”

In response to allegations of retaliation, IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel also stated that he reached out to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration.

Werfel explained that upon learning about the allegations of retaliation mentioned in the letter and media reports on May 16, 2023, he promptly contacted the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA). However, due to the existence of laws and policies safeguarding the integrity of ongoing proceedings, he expressed his inability to disclose specific information regarding this issue.

Adding further, Werfel emphasized that TIGTA confirmed his role as commissioner does not involve conducting investigations in whistleblower proceedings. When allegations are raised by an IRS employee, the commissioner’s office does not engage in investigative activities, seek the whistleblower’s identity, or interfere in such matters. Instead, the inspector general assumes the crucial role of safeguarding the whistleblower process and undertaking relevant inquiries into the issue at hand.

Last week, attorneys representing one of the whistleblowers informed lawmakers that the agent and their entire investigative team were notified of their removal from the ongoing and sensitive investigation involving a high-profile and controversial subject. The whistleblower had sought to disclose information to Congress regarding this matter. They were informed that the change was requested by the Department of Justice.
