DeSantis Releases Election Warning
In a vibrant display of Republican unity and achievement, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and leading GOP figures celebrated a significant milestone with a “victory dinner” fundraiser held at the South Florida Seminole Hard Rock Casino on Saturday night.
Governor DeSantis, addressing a packed crowd at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Hollywood, highlighted the impressive growth in Republican voter registration in Florida. As reported by the Miami Herald, DeSantis noted, “Presidential elections have always hinged on the outcome in Florida, and now, we’ve achieved a pivotal shift with over a million more registered Republicans than Democrats.”
This surge in Republican registrations positions Florida as a solid stronghold for GOP candidates. However, DeSantis emphasized the importance of staying vigilant. “We must not take this progress for granted,” he warned. “The political landscape can change rapidly, and it’s crucial that we continue to work hard and remain engaged.”
The event featured key Republican figures including Senator Rick Scott, R-Fla., and Attorney General Ashley Moody, who made a bold comparison of herself to Vice President Kamala Harris by calling herself the “anti-Kamala.” Their speeches underscored the party’s optimism and determination.
Kimberly Guilfoyle, a prominent Republican commentator and fiancée of Donald Trump Jr., also addressed the gathering. In her passionate speech, Guilfoyle declared, “Victory is within our grasp. The future of America is in our hands, and our prosperity is driven by our collective resolve and commitment.”
Despite the celebratory mood, Florida GOP Chair Evan Power reminded attendees to maintain a competitive spirit. “We must act as though we are trailing by 10 points,” Power urged. “Our success depends on relentless effort and dedication.”
The evening not only celebrated the GOP’s recent successes but also reinforced the need for continued action and engagement as the party looks towards future electoral battles.
