Trump Border Czar’s Warning To Democrats
Incoming Border Czar Tom Homan made it clear in an interview with Newsmax that he isn’t concerned about criticism from Democrats, including Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), who recently questioned his qualifications to tackle illegal immigration in President Trump’s new administration.
Homan, a former acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), was direct in his response to Crockett’s comments on MSNBC, where she claimed Homan “doesn’t know what he’s doing” when it comes to securing the border. Homan fired back, stating, “I’ve been doing this job for a long time, and I don’t care what they say. I’m here to help fix the border. Under President Trump, we had the most secure border in my lifetime, and we will get that border back.”
Homan pointed to the devastating consequences of the Biden administration’s border policies, highlighting the tragic loss of life. “In the past few years, we’ve seen nearly 4,000 people die trying to cross the border,” he said. “Additionally, over a quarter-million Americans have died from fentanyl, which is flooding our country through the southern border. Their policies are killing both Americans and migrants. President Trump will secure the border and save lives, not just of Americans, but of those crossing the border as well.”
Homan also emphasized that his stance isn’t anti-immigration but anti-illegal immigration. He cited the horrors women and children face while attempting to cross into the U.S., including rampant sexual assault and sex trafficking. “As we speak, women are being raped by cartel members. Children are dying, and sex trafficking is at an all-time high,” he said. “The Biden administration lost track of over 340,000 children, releasing them to unvetted sponsors.”
Homan warned that a “rude awakening” had already occurred in the 2020 election when Americans voted for change. He cited the tragic stories of families who have lost loved ones to illegal immigrants and criminal gangs like MS-13. “How many more angel moms and dads do we need before we take action?” he asked.
Under the Trump administration, Homan promised to lead the largest deportation effort in U.S. history, making it clear that securing the border would be a top priority. “This is a matter of public safety, and it should be a nonpartisan issue,” he said. “We’re going to do what’s necessary, and we won’t apologize for it.”
