Obama Wants This Taken Away From Americans
During an interview on Thursday, Michelle Obama, the ex-first lady, expressed her belief that Americans’ ability to access guns was unfavorable.
Gayle King, a CBS host and friend of the Obamas, expressed her distress about the recent shootings that have occurred across the country. She then posed a question to Michelle Obama, inquiring whether there were any feasible solutions to addressing and reducing gun violence in the nation.
According to Fox, Michelle Obama expressed her desire for the implementation of more strict gun control laws. She stated that she hoped and prayed that the country would reach a point where enough is enough and take necessary actions to address the issue of gun violence.
“We are the only developed country on the planet where its citizens can have unfettered access to firearms. That is not a good thing,” Obama added.
Michelle Obama urged young people, in particular, to exercise their right to vote and bring about changes in the country’s gun laws.
“More of us have to feel strongly about it. In particularly our young people. This is where democracy comes in. Voting — all of this stuff is decided in the ballot box,” Michelle Obama said.
Subsequently, Michelle Obama indirectly criticized former President Donald Trump for not inviting her to the White House to reveal her official portrait.
