Fox News Host Expresses Astonishment at GOP’s Persistence in Biden Investigation

Fox News host Jessica Tarlov expressed astonishment on Wednesday at the extent to which House Republicans are willing to endure embarrassment in their efforts to level impeachment charges against President Biden.

“Choosing this route really showcases their tolerance for embarrassment,” Tarlov remarked during her appearance on the network. “It’s astounding how every witness they’ve brought forward has only weakened their case.”

Tarlov’s critique follows the recent indictment of the FBI informant pivotal to the Republican allegations against Biden. The Department of Justice (DOJ) has accused the informant, Alexander Smirnov, of fabricating stories about the Bidens, including a claim that both the former vice president and his son, Hunter Biden, received a $5 million bribe each.

The DOJ has suggested that Smirnov’s allegations about Hunter Biden were influenced by Russian intelligence.

The business activities of Hunter Biden have been a focal point in the House GOP’s campaign for impeachment, a move the White House has condemned as politically motivated and unfounded.

Despite the indictment of Smirnov, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) maintained on Capitol Hill on Wednesday that the case against the president remains unchanged.

Tarlov, who often represents the liberal viewpoint on the network’s popular show “The Five,” described the situation as “cringeworthy.” She agreed with Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) that the impeachment effort seemed to lose its ground with the revelation that a key figure in the inquiry is linked to Russian intelligence.
