Does Biden Care About America's Veterans?

Hillary Crosses The Line Attacking Trump

What won’t Hillary say?

Hillary Clinton commemorated the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion with a social media message that implied former President Trump poses a significant threat to democracy, likening it to the menace posed by Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler. YIKES!

In her post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, Clinton suggested that the forthcoming presidential election, featuring former President Trump as the presumptive Republican nominee against Democratic incumbent President Biden, is critical for the future of democracy. “Eighty years ago today, thousands of brave Americans fought to protect democracy on the shores of Normandy,” Clinton wrote. “This November, all we have to do is vote.”

The D-Day operation on June 6, 1944, in Normandy, France, is renowned in U.S. military history as a pivotal moment in World War II that initiated the liberation of Europe from Nazi occupation. Clinton’s post insinuates that Trump poses a threat to democracy akin to Hitler’s ambitions for global domination.

This is not the first instance where Clinton has drawn parallels between Trump and Hitler. On May 21, she referred to Trump as “Grifter Hitler” in another post on X, sharing an article about a video on Trump’s Truth Social platform. The video suggested a “unified Reich” among hypothetical future headlines if Trump were to win the upcoming election. The Trump campaign clarified that the video was shared by a staffer who had not noticed the contentious wording.

A request for comment from Clinton’s spokesperson went unanswered.

Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung responded to Clinton’s remarks by telling Fox, “Hillary Clinton is a stone-cold loser who presided over the horrific Benghazi debacle that led to the death of Americans. Nobody takes Hillary seriously because it’s clear she is beclowning herself to stay relevant after President Trump crushed her in 2016.”

Democrats, including President Biden, have frequently portrayed Trump as a danger to democracy, particularly after the January 6 riots in 2021, when Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol, disrupting the certification of Biden’s 2020 election victory. Additionally, Democrats accuse Republicans of voter suppression through laws requiring voter ID, restrictions on mail-in ballots, and other regulations they claim hinder voting accessibility.

Trump, in response, has dismissed these criticisms, asserting in a recent Fox News interview that he is “the opposite” of a threat to democracy.

Polling indicates that voters generally trust Biden more than Trump on issues related to election integrity and protecting democracy. A recent Fox News poll shows Biden leading Trump by seven points regarding election integrity. Nevertheless, Trump outperforms Biden on issues like border security, immigration, the economy, foreign policy, and crime, according to the Fox News Power Rankings Issues Tracker.
