Most Americans Say It Would Be “Too Risky” To Expand Trump's Power, You Agree?

King Trump Officially Announced

President Donald Trump’s supporters made waves recently by humorously referring to him as a king after he declared victory over the Biden administration’s congestion pricing plan for Manhattan. Trump’s latest triumph comes after his administration reversed a decision from the previous administration to impose a congestion pricing toll in New York City.

On Wednesday, Trump made his position clear, announcing that New York City was “saved” from the congestion pricing scheme, which would have taxed drivers in the busy Manhattan area. “CONGESTION PRICING IS DEAD. Manhattan, and all of New York, is SAVED,” Trump posted, followed by a bold declaration: “LONG LIVE THE KING!”

The White House joined in, posting Trump’s message on X (formerly Twitter) with an image of the president wearing a crown against the backdrop of New York City. The iconic “TIME” magazine lettering was replaced with “TRUMP,” and the words “Long live the king” added for effect.

Adding to the fun, Taylor Budowich, the White House Deputy Chief of Staff, shared another playful image of Trump in royal attire with a crown and cloak, echoing his initial bold message.

Elon Musk, a vocal supporter of Trump and head of his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), joined the online celebration by posting screenshots of Trump’s previously suspended X account and his current account, which now shows him as the 47th president. “The Return of the King,” Musk remarked, a fitting tribute to Trump’s continued influence.

While critics quickly took issue with Trump’s lighthearted “king” reference, raising concerns about his executive powers, his supporters were clearly entertained by the message. The posts came just days after the “No Kings Day” protests, where Americans voiced their opposition to overreaching government power, a sentiment many of Trump’s supporters strongly oppose.

For many conservatives, Trump’s bold stance against the Biden administration’s policies and his decisive actions to protect New Yorkers’ freedoms is just another example of why they view him as the leader who fights for the people.
