Trump Issues Warning To MAGA Voters
President Donald Trump delivered a powerful, urgent call-to-action on Sunday, urging every America First patriot in Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District to show up on Tuesday and vote for Republican candidate Matt Van Epps.
Posting on Truth Social before leaving Mar-a-Lago for Washington, Trump made it clear that conservative turnout will decide this race.
“I’m asking all America First Patriots in Tennessee’s 7th District—GET OUT AND VOTE for the phenomenal Matt Van Epps,” Trump wrote.
Trump warned voters that Democrat Aftyn Behn holds extreme positions that threaten Tennessee values, American culture, and national security.
Trump Warns: Democrat Opponent “Hates Christianity” and Wants Open Borders
The President did not mince words in describing Van Epps’s Democrat opponent:
- Against Christianity and traditional faith
- Supports gun restrictions
- Backs open borders
- Pushes radical gender policies
- Promotes men competing in women’s sports
- Mocks Nashville’s culture and country-music heritage
Trump emphasized that these comments were caught on video and widely reported in conservative media.
“It’s all on tape—every word! Do NOT take this race for granted,” Trump cautioned.
Democrats Pour Millions Into Tennessee to Flip a GOP Seat
Although Tennessee’s 7th District has long been conservative, Democrats have spent millions of dollars trying to flip the seat and weaken the GOP’s narrow majority in Congress.
According to the latest Emerson College poll, the race is now within the margin of error—something unheard of in this district.
Trump warned that national Democrats and far-left donors see this seat as a chance to undermine his America First agenda.
“The Radical Left is spending a fortune to defeat one of the best candidates we’ve ever had,” Trump wrote.
“You can win this election for Matt. GET OUT AND VOTE!”
Why This Election Matters for the Country
Republicans currently hold a very slim majority in the House:
219 Republicans vs. 213 Democrats, with three seats vacant.
This makes every special election critical.
The current vacancies include:
- Rep. Mark Green (R-Tenn.), who resigned July 21, 2025, to develop a cybersecurity company aimed at countering Chinese Communist Party influence online.
- Rep. Sylvester Turner (D-Texas), who passed away March 5, 2025.
- Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-N.J.), who resigned November 20, 2025 after winning the New Jersey governor’s race.
A Democrat pickup in Tennessee would weaken the GOP majority at a time when Republicans are fighting to secure the border, restore law and order, and protect traditional American values.
A District Steeped in Tennessee Heritage
Tennessee’s 7th District stretches from the Kentucky border to the Alabama line and includes parts of North and West Nashville. It is known for its strong faith communities, military families, and long history of voting Republican.
This is exactly why Democrats are targeting it—the Left wants a symbolic victory in solid red America.
Trump’s Final Message: “Vote for Matt Van Epps—He Won’t Let You Down!”
In his closing appeal, Trump told Tennessee voters exactly what’s at stake:
“Matt Van Epps has my Complete and Total Endorsement. He will NEVER let you down.”
Trump urged conservative voters to send a message on Tuesday—not just to Tennessee, but to the entire nation:
