Pence Sides With Trump On Key Issue
In a decisive act of leadership that’s drawing praise across conservative circles, President Donald J. Trump authorized surprise military strikes against Iran’s nuclear weapons program, sending a powerful message to America’s enemies—and earning the approval of former Vice President Mike Pence.
During a Fox News interview Sunday, Pence praised the strikes as “exactly what needed to be done” to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, calling the Islamic regime’s ambitions “intolerable” and a direct threat to the United States, Israel, and global peace.
“We’ve had our differences,” Pence admitted, “but in this moment, I couldn’t be more proud of President Trump’s decisive leadership and the incredible bravery of our U.S. Armed Forces.”
Operation Midnight Hammer: A Clear Warning to Iran
The weekend airstrikes, known as Operation Midnight Hammer, targeted Iran’s deeply buried Fordow nuclear facility and other key uranium enrichment sites. The mission followed President Trump’s bold warning to Tehran: either dismantle your nuclear program within 14 days—or face the consequences.
True to his word, Trump acted swiftly—signaling to adversaries across the world that American strength is back and that nuclear blackmail will not be tolerated under this administration.
Pence: “Trump Made the Right Call”
Although Pence previously distanced himself from Trump politically, he had no hesitation in showing full support for the strike. On social media platform X, Pence posted:
“President Trump made the right call to deploy American forces against Iran’s nuclear sites. Thanks to his strength and our military’s professionalism, America, Israel, and the Free World are safer today.”
Speaking to Fox News, Pence emphasized that these actions align with the Trump-Pence administration’s original approach: maximum pressure on Iran, strong support for Israel, and a zero-tolerance stance on nuclear proliferation in the Middle East.
A Return to Peace Through Strength
“This isn’t new,” Pence said. “During our administration, we isolated Iran as never before. And I always knew that if Iran refused to dismantle its nuclear program, President Trump would act—just as he did now.”
According to military sources, the strikes dealt a significant blow to Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. Pence believes the mission may have delayed Iran’s nuclear timeline by years, buying precious time to re-establish U.S.-led diplomatic leverage from a position of strength.
The Stakes: National Security, Israel, and the Free World
With Israel under direct threat and Iran’s aggression destabilizing the region, the Trump administration had been pushing for a new agreement to stop Iran’s weapons development. But Israel’s June 13 military strike on Iranian targets dramatically escalated the timeline.
Even so, Pence remains optimistic:
“We may not have ended the program completely, but we’ve sent a clear message—and set it back years. This is a turning point toward a safer, more stable Middle East.”
